Golf Report for the week ending 2/1/2022.

Best in for Monday’s medley stableford was Harry Edmonds with 37 points

Tuesday’s medley stableford was won by Rob Walters with 37 points. Matt Spark and Ian Jeffery were next best with 36 and then Rowan Butler and Dave Wargent with 35 points.

Ben Butler was best in for Wednesday’s medley stableford with 36 points.

The men’s 12- hole comp on Thursday was won by Ken Luxford with 28 points. He was followed by Ross Scott, 27, and Trevor Kiernan, 25. Howard Finlen won nearest the pin and Rodney Jones the putting.

Ben Butler and David Hawker both finished with 36 points in Friday’s medley stableford to take the top two spots.

This week’s Dash for Cash was won by Tina Myler.

New Year’s Day medley stableford was well supported with 42 players taking part. Steve Glover was best in with 39 points. He was followed by John Austin, 37, and Paul Amos, Dave Ryan and Howard Finlen with 36 points. Tony Schutz was next best with 35.

Steve Corbett, 36 points, was best in for Sunday’s medley stableford. Next best were Justin Bushell and David hawker with 34.

Coming up this week

Medley stableford’s will run, Monday, Tuesday and Sunday while stablefords will be on Wednesday and Friday. The men’s 12-hole comp is on Thursday and Dash for Cash each day except Saturday. Next Saturday is the Sutton Insurance Brokers Monthly Mug for the men and a stableford for the ladies.

The NEDGA Pennants will be held January 16.

The RSM 2022 Sapphire Cup with prizes to the value of $16500, will be played January 29 and 30 2022. Nomination forms for Saturday’s Forsyths 4BBB stableford and Sunday’s Inverell H Hardware 4BBB stablefords are now available at the club or on the Golf Club website (https://www.inverellgolfclub.org/) in the ‘Events’ section. The Tait Hino 9 hole Da$h for Ca$h will be held on Friday, the day prior to the Cup.
