Golf Report for the week ending 27/12/2021.

Tuesday’s men’s vets comp was won by Jim Shadlow in a 3-way countback. Barry Young and Gordon Dean. All three finished with 37 points. Steve Glover, 36, and Larry Whitbread, 35, were ball winners. Rob Walters, Steve Glover and Gordon Dean won the nearest the pins while Jim Shadlow won the Ron Rampling putting comp. Vets will return January 11.

Sandra Williams was the winner of the ladies stableford on Wednesday with 33 points. Helen Edwards and Julie Clark took 2nd and 3rd with 32 points.

The men’s 12- hole comp on Thursday was won by Burglar Bob Watson with 28 points. He was followed by Gordon Dean, 26, and Barry Croft, 24. Nearest the pin was Steve Kent and Gordon Dean won the putting again.  

This week’s Dash for Cash was won by Stave Glover with 21 points.

The club was closed on Saturday, Christmas day, and there was no play Sunday.

Best in for Monday’s medley stableford was Harry Edmonds with 37 points.

Medley stableford’s and Dash for Cash will run each day after Christmas.

The NEDGA Pennants will be held January 16.

The RSM 2022 Sapphire Cup with prizes to the value of $16500, will be played January 29 and 30 2022. Nomination forms for Saturday’s Forsyths 4BBB stableford and Sunday’s Inverell H Hardware 4BBB stablefords are now available at the club or on the Golf Club website (https://www.inverellgolfclub.org/) in the ‘Events’ section. The Tait Hino 9 hole Da$h for Ca$h will be held on Friday, the day prior to the Cup.
