Golf Report for the week ending 19/12/2021.

Tuesday’s men’s vets comp was won by Simon Smith with 36 points. Gordon Dean took 2nd spot in a countback with Stewart Berryman while Ross Tutt and Graham Moore were ball winners. Nearest the pins went to Steve Dyer, Allen Bujack and Graham Moore. Graham also won the putting comp.

Leonie Davison was the winner of the ladies stableford on Wednesday. She finished with 34 points, one ahead of Sandy Cook. Julie Clark was next best with 31.

The men’s 12- hole comp on Thursday was a Ian Perkins with 32 points. He was followed by Greg Brabant, 31, and Dave Ryan, 30. Dave also won the putting and Ken Austin the nearest the pin.

This week’s Dash for Cash was won by Ashley Walters with 17 points.

The was a good roll up for Saturday’s Christmas Cheer 3-person Ambrose. The event was won by the team of Tony Driscoll, Matt Mikaere and Noel Cross. Close behind was the group Gary Hadland, Mark Lane and Liam Spalding and then Dave McLennan, Ross Chilcott and Matt Sutton.

Sunday’s medley stableford was won by Jason Pomfrett with 34 points.

Coming up this week

Dash for Cash – running each day except Saturday

Tuesday, the vets men play their 18-hole stableford hitting off at 8:30.

The ladies summer stableford is on Wednesday.

The men’s 12-hole comp is on Thursday.

Friday will be a summer stableford for the ladies.

Saturday, Christmas Day – the club will be closed.

Sunday, Boxing Day, will be a medley stableford.

Medley stableford’s will run for the weekdays after Christmas.

The RSM 2022 Sapphire Cup with prizes to the value of $16500, will be played January 29 and 30 2022. Nomination forms for Saturday’s Forsyths 4BBB stableford and Sunday’s Inverell H Hardware 4BBB stablefords are now available. The Tait Hino 9 hole Da$h for Ca$h will be held on Friday, the day prior to the Cup.
