Golf Report for the week ending 11/7/2021.

Due to the very wet conditions the golf course is closed until at least Tuesday

Jim Shadlow was in great form in Tuesday’s veteran’s golf. Jim played to his age recording 71 off the stick to finish with 38 points. Stewart Berryman was runner-up with 36 while Col Paton and Brian McLennan, 35, and Terry Young, 34, were the ball winners.

Nearest the pins were Noel Tomlinson, John Tom and Jim Shadlow. Jim finished off his prize list by winning the putting with 26 putts.

Brenda Zabaks won the ladies vets and Ann Peters was runner up.

Di Shadlow, not wanting to listen to Jim tell her how well he went on Tuesday, got stuck right in and finished with nett 72 to win the ladies stroke event on Wednesday. Jan Frater was runner up with 73. She was followed by Sandra Williams and Sandy Cook with 77. Di Shadlow and Sandy Cook were best in the putting comp.

Gordon Dean took out the Thursday 12-hole comp with 30 points. Herb Cox came 2nd with 27 points in a countback with Brian McLennan. The putting was won by Gordon Dean and Graham Moore was nearest the pin.

The best in for last week’s Dash for Cash was Jeremy Tickle with 19 points.

Friday’s ladies stableford was washed out yet again and the course has been closed since then.

There is the daily Dash for Cash for men and women.

Tuesday, the vets ladies and men hit off at 9am. The ladies will play their 9-hole comp while the men will play the usual 18-hole stableford.

The ladies will play a stableford on Wednesday.

The men’s 12-hole comp is on Thursday.

Friday will see a stableford played by the ladies.

Saturday, July 17, will be a stableford for both the men and women.

Sunday will be a medley stableford

Because of course closure the CJW Tree Service Shootout scheduled for today will now be Saturday 24th July

The Marquart Jug Qualifying round is postponed until 14th of August.
