The clubhouse will be closed. Golf necessities will be available at the front of the golf shop. Fees will be collected out the front of the clubhouse or shop. You must carry a mask with you and wear it at any time when you cannot keep social distancing.

There are other playing restrictions. Players should check the notice board before hitting off.

Results from the last week.

Tuesday’s men’s veterans golf was won by Larry Finney playing off a handicap of 6. Larry finished with an excellent 38 points. Peter Wallace and John Green took 2nd and 3rd with 37 points. John Foulcher, Noel Tomlinson and Steve Kent were ball winners while Larry Finney won the putting with 27 putts.

The vets’ men are asked to book in and hit off through the timesheet anytime from 7:30am. This will avoid the shotgun start and stagger the finish while COVID restrictions apply.

Shirley Horwood was the winner of the lady’s veteran’s golf. Brenda Zabaks was runner up.

A good field turned up for Wednesday’s ladies stableford competition. The comp was won by Anne Coote. The ladies have struggled to finish with good scores recently because of the difficult wet areas, so Anne’s 36 points was an impressive result. Helen Lockwood and Julie Clark recorded 32 points each to take 2nd and 3rd places. They were followed by five players with 31 points.

Thursday’s 12-hole competition was won by Doug Shirley with 32 points and in a countback with the returning John Henderson. Barry Croft was next best with 28 while John Watts won the putting.

Sandra Williams won Friday’s ladies stableford with another impressive 36 points. Next best were Lynne Lamrock, 32, and Bronwyn Thorley, Sandy Cook, Jan frater and Sue Urquhart each with 31 points.

Last week’s ‘Dash for Cash’ was won by Anthony Hyde.

A good field hit off in Saturday’s stableford under ideal conditions. Bob Watson had a great round to finish with 42 points and take the day 2 points clear of Tim Moses. Nick Glover, Matt O’Reilly, Ben Davis and Dave Wargent finished with 38 points and next was Herbie Cox with 37.

Naomi Marshall was best in for the ladies with 36 points. She was followed by Teena Myler with 35.
