Golf Report for the week ending 12/1/2021

Men’s Results

Thursday’s 12-hole comp was won by Wok Smith with 31 points. Gordon Dean was 2nd with 29 points and Allen Bujack 3rd with 26.

Darrell Campbell, 16 putts, won the putting in a countback with Tom Kennedy.

The Sutton Insurance Brokers Monthly Mug was played on Saturday. Gold Coast visitor, Christopher English, was best in for the day with nett 67. Steve Glover was the winner of the Monthly Mug, the best local member, with his nett, 68.

The Monthly Mug Grade winners were A Grade –John Coote with nett 71, B Grade – Coates with nett 70, and C/D Grade – Glen Cross with nett 69.

Ted Edmonds finished with nett 71 and Gary Hadland, Tom Kennedy, Jeremy Budda Deen, Matt O’Reilly, Ashley Walters, Morgan Reece and Ben Davis all finished with nett 72.

Tuesday’s vet’s golf was won by Noel Tomlinson in a 4 way countback with Col Flood, John Williams and John Tom. All finishing with 33 points. Col Paton was next best with 32 points followed by Graham Moore with 31 points. Col Flood won the putting with 31 putts. 

 

Ladies Results

Sue Urquhart, with 38 points, was the winner of Wednesday’s stableford. Julie Clark was next best with her 37 points and she was followed by Nicky Cusack with 34. 

Friday’s comp was washed out.

Sue Urquhart, 32 points, was the winner of Saturday’s stableford in a countback with Trudi Tonkin.

 

Mixed Results

There were 28 entries in last week’s 9-hole ’Dash for Cash’. Harry Edmonds, 19 points, was the winner of $140 in a countback with Nick Cummings.

Rowan Butler was best in for Sunday’s medley stableford with 36 points. Greg Bushell and David Hawker were next best.

 

The Sapphire Cup is fast approaching. Entries close at the clubhouse January Friday 15th. Details of the ‘Cup’ which will be played January 30 and 31, are on the Inverell Golf Club website under ‘Events’

The next weeks program including the daily Dash for Cash for men and women.

Wednesday, January 13, the ladies play a stableford.

The men’s 12-hole comp is on Thursday.

Friday is a stableford for the ladies.

Saturday, January 16, is a stableford for the men for the women.

Sunday will be a medley stableford.

On Tuesday, the men’s vets men play their stableford with an 8:30 shotgun start.
