Golf Report for the week ending 18/1/2021

Note – Golf reports now going out Monday’s. They will also be on the Inverell Golf Club website and facebook with photos.

Men’s Results

Thursday’s 12-hole comp was won by Rodney Jones with 30 points. Bill Wade, 28, and Nick Heagney, 26 points, took 2nd and 3rd spots. Graham Moore won the putting with 17 putts.

Ben Davis has been showing good form lately and he took out Saturday’s stableford with an excellent 41 points. Peter Lloyd and Tony Driscoll finished with 38 points, Steve Corbett and John Stansfield, 37, Bob Cook, 36, and then Col Flood, Adrian King, Gerry Martin and Mick Tanner all returned with 35 points.


Ladies Results

Sue Urquhart was the winner again on Wednesday with 39 stableford points. This has given Sue three wins in 3 consecutive games. Liz Hobday and Leonie Davidson were next best with 35 points.

Friday’s Stableford was taken out by Sandra Williams with 32 points. Bronwyn Thorley and Kerry Nicholson were next best.

Bronwyn Thorley won Saturday’s stableford with 35 points. Helen Lockwood was close behind with 34 points and then Wendy Alexander 31.


Mixed Results

Sandy Cook was this week’s 9-hole ’Dash for Cash’. She finished with 19 points and won in a countback.

Mark Lane was best in on for Sunday’s medley stableford with 38 points.


The next weeks program

There is the daily Dash for Cash for men and women.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 19th, the vets men will hit off at 8:30. Next week, Australia Day, there will be no vets. Instead, a medley stableford will run.

Wednesday, the ladies play a stableford.

The men’s 12-hole comp is on Thursday.

Friday is a stableford for the ladies.

Saturday, January 23, is a stableford for the men and for the women.

Sunday will be a medley stableford.

Tuesday, Australia Day, will be a medley stableford.


The Sapphire Cup will be played January 30, 31. Book through the clubhouse. Details of the ‘Cup’ are on the Inverell Golf Club website under ‘Events’
