Golf Report for the week ending 15/12/2020

Ladies Results

Trudi Tonkin was a clear winner of Wednesday’s stableford with 38 points. Next best was Sue Urquhart with 35 and she was followed by Kerry Nicholson with 32 points.

Saturday’s stableford was won by Sue Urquhart with 34 points. Trudi Tonkin was next with 33.

 

Men’s Results

Rodney Loy was the winner of Thursday’s 12-hole comp. Rodney’s 32 point put him 2 clear of 2nd placed Howard Finlen. Peter Wallace was 3rd with 29 points. The putting was won by John Watts with 18 putts.

Matt Sparke and Gary Hadland took out Saturday’s Christmas Cup, a par event, with +10. Next best were Ross Tutt & Steve Kent and Adam Paton & Ted Edmonds with +9.

A stableford was held in conjunction with the Christmas Cup. Matt Sparke’s 40 points was good enough for him to win this event. Steve Corbett and Ben Davis were one point behind. Ross Tutt came in 4th with his 38 points and he was followed by Adam Paton, John Coote and Tony Baldwin each with 37 points. Ball winners went down to 35 points.

Tuesday’s veteran golf was taken out by Jim Shadlow with 38 points. Leon Fox was next best with 36 followed by Peter Wallace, 35, Larry Finney and Ross Tutt, 34, and Brian McLennan, 32. The Ron Rampling putting competition was also won by Jim Shadlow with 24 putts.

 

Mixed Results

Sunday’s medley stableford was won by Lachlan Green, 37 points, in a countback with Geoff Bucknell. Tom Skipper and Ben Swan finished with 35 points.

Last week’s 9-hole ’Dash for Cash’ was won by youngster, Spud Coakes, with 19 points.

 

The next weeks program including the daily Dash for Cash which operates every day except Saturday and the non-handicap card draw which runs throughout the week.

Wednesday, December 16, the ladies play a stableford.

The men’s 12-hole comp is on Thursday.

Friday’s the ladies play a stableford.

Saturday, December 19, Hamper Day has been changed to a four-ball medley Stableford. This means pairs can be mixed, men’s or women’s. A stableford will be played in conjunction with the four-ball.

Sunday will be a medley stableford.

On Tuesday, the men’s veterans the ladies vets are in recess. The men start again January 5.
