Golf report for week ending 11/8/2020
In a good-sized field last Wednesday Sandy Cook was there again to win the day in a countback with Marilyn Young. They finished with 38 points. Lynne Lamrock, 37, and Anne Coote, 36, were the next best.
In miserable conditions Bronwyn Thorley was the best of a very small field on Friday and Sandy Cook was the winner again on Saturday with 30 points.

Thursday’s 12-hole comp was won by David Jones with 31 points. Next best were Greg Brabrant, 29, and Darrell Campbell, 28. The putting was won by Col Paton and the nearest the pin by Graham Moore.
Saturday’s stroke was won by Ian Jeffery with nett 66. Harry Edmonds and Ben Butler were next best with 67 and then Noel Cross, Tony Schutz and Tim Moses with 69. Bob Albinus and Matt Reece finished with 70 and Ross Tutt and Dave Worgan, 71.
Best in on an atrocious Sunday was Harry Edmonds with nett 68. Allen Bujack returned a nett 69, Luke Bourke and Tony Schutz 70 and John Foulcher and Matt Flitcroft, 71.
Tuesday’s veterans comp was won by Noel Tomlinson with 39 points. Noel was followed by Barry Young, Col Flood, Ron Cheshier and Dave Ryan all with 35 points. The putting was won by Richard Black with 33 putts.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12 the ladies play a stroke which is a NSW Medal Competition
The men’s 12-hole comp is on Thursday.
Friday will be a stableford for the ladies.
Saturday will be stablefords for both the men and the women.
Sunday will be a medley stableford.
On Tuesday, the veteran men will play their usual stableford with a 9am shotgun start while the ladies’ veterans will play their 9-hole comp.
Note the first round of the Marquart Jug must be played by Sunday August 23.
